First time visiting. Went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. There were 3 customers ahead of us and we were waiting for about 20mins because the person taking the order was also the person doing the checkout process. I knew from this situation that we couldn’t seat and eat. We ordered lots of phomo and Ayamase stew (green designer stew). Both dishes were very yummy. I recommend this restaurant for people that wants good food to-go. Food is good but customer service is mediocre at best.

I’ll live a part of the US where good Nigerian food is hard to find so when I visit Houston (Naij extension), I make sure I avail myself of the opportunity to bask in the best of Nigerian cuisine. I’ve been to Amala zone only once but I’ll be sure to return. The food is tasty, filling and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a try!

If you want to taste Great Nigerian food, this is a good start and right in the middle of Houston. They have a good variety of plates to choose from so the opportunity to try is great. The parking is free and the prices are very reasonable.

Finally went to eat the abula that I have heard so much about. The food was good. When next I go, I will have to try another dish besides the abula.

amazing west african flavors and cozy atmosphere! highly recommend trying the jollof rice and plantains, you won't be disappointed.

I stopped eating out because I would feel sick each time. My daughter took me to Amala Zone Mother's day weekend. The restaurant didn't have that "smell." The food was so tasty! I didn't feel sick after eating it. We went there 3 times that week before she went back to work (out of state) I have been there with other friends since then. Great restaurant.

This beautiful place in Houston is pretty nice! I can't say much about the atmosphere, but the food is really good and the ladies who serve are nice and they do a great job. Food tasted great!

It’s a good place to eat your African cuisine, many good African delicacies. I went for the local rice, and I enjoyed it. The price is however on the high side. There was plenty of parking space.
